Surface protection: paint or powder coating?

Hot-dip galvanising: the longest-lasting protection for outdoor structures; powder coating can also be applied over it.
What to look for in a steel door
Sheet thickness of the frame and leaf, lock class, number of hinges, insulation filling and how the frame is fixed to the wall all determine security. The door should be installed after the walls are built but before plaster and paint are finished, so the frame surround can be closed neatly.
